JAKARTA - Rieneke Alma Pudihang, Richardgan's mother, is constantly grateful for the light verdict received by her son.

Rieneke expressed his gratitude to President Joko Widodo and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and all his staff.

"To our President, Mr. Joko Widodo, who we also know our conscience reaches the ears of the President. We would like to thank the president very much. God will always bless him in his duties and lead the nation until the end," Rieneke said at a press conference in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, February 15, as reported by Antara.

Rieneke also thanked the National Police Chief and all members of the police for providing security to his son during his detention. Including the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Komjen Agus Andrianto, Kabaintelkam Komjen Ahmad Dofiri and Irwasum Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto.

"During the detention period until now Icad (Richard's nickname) felt safe and comfortable there, calm it was all because of the security given by the police so we expressed our gratitude," he said.

"To Mr. Dankor who is at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, thank you very much for facilitating our family for about four months at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, thank you very much God also bless," said Rieneke.

Rieneke also expressed his gratitude to the panel of judges who had given justice to his son. Rieneke believes that the panel of judges also worked hard to get to his decision to provide justice in the process of proving the premeditated murder case of Brigadier J.

"We firmly believe that the justice received by Icad is truly because of prayers from parents and also from supporters of many people out there who always pray for Icad, support Icad day and night," he said.

Not to forget, Rieneke also expressed his gratitude to the parents of the late Brigadier Yosua, Mr. Samuel Hutabarat and Mrs. Rosti Simanjuntak who had received their son's apology.

Richard's apology received by the family of the late Brigadier J became the consideration of the panel of judges in easing the verdict.

"We thank you very much because they have also supported Icad and the family for apologizing to Icad and thanking LPSK for providing protection from start to finish and always being with Icad and giving JC (justice collaborator) status," said Rieneke.

The trial, led by Wahyu Imam Santoso, sentenced the defendant Richardgan to one year and six months. The judge stated that Richard total was legally and convincingly proven guilty of violating Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
