JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) ensures that goods left behind at the station can be ensured safe. Especially what was found by KAI.
PT KAI Daop 3 Cirebon said that in 2022 there were approximately 224 types of items left behind and had been returned to their owners.
"All the items found at the station have returned to the owner. We noted that 224 items were left behind during 2022," said KAI Daops 3 Cirebon Public Relations Manager Ayep Hanapi, in Cirebon quoting Antara, Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Ayep said all items belonging to train passengers left at the station and on the train would be collected and entered in the "Lost and Found" system database.
According to him, KAI Cirebon guarantees that all items left in the station area and on the train are safe, so that people don't have to worry, as long as they have strong evidence.
Ayep continued that in Daops 3 Cirebon there were 224 items left in the form of laptops, cell phones, jewelry, and others that were successfully secured by officers and have been entered in the "Lost and Found" system database during the period January to December 2022.
"All luggage is the responsibility of the customer, but to provide maximum service the security officers will always try to help secure left items that are still on trains or stations, and are guaranteed to be safe," he also said.
He added that station security officers always carry out regular checks in the waiting room area and above the train, especially when the train arrives at the final destination station.
Officers will also check on each series to ensure that no passenger luggage is left behind.
The number of items left behind, Ayep said, was due to the increasing volume of rail transportation, after the government relaxed travel requirements and the lifting of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
"The number of train customers continues to increase along with the better handling of the COVID-19 outbreak and the opening of various mobility restrictions imposed by the government," he said again.
