Kudus Customs And Excise Failed To Send 12 Bottles Of Illegal Mira Via Goods Tip Service

PATI - The Customs Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC) Type Madya Kudus, Central Java, succeeded in thwarting the delivery of 12 bottles of liquor that were not attached to excise tape through goods delivery services.

"The amount of evidence that was successfully secured from one of the goods delivery services in Pati Regency is 11.75 liters of whiskey and wine," said Head of the Counseling and Information Service Section Sandy Hendratmo Sopan, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, February 11.

He revealed that the disclosure of the illegal alcohol-containing (MMEA) drink case was the first time in 2023 in collaboration with KPPBC Type Madya Customs B Surakarta.

The chronology of the incident, he said, began when he received information from KPPBC Type Madya Customs B Surakarta about the shipment of packages in the form of MMEA which was suspected to be illegal from the Bali area on Thursday.

Then, he added, the Kudus KPPBC team sent officers to check the accuracy of the information by visiting the expedition service office in Pati Regency.

"Then an examination of the package was carried out according to what was informed," he said.

The results of the examination showed that ten bottles of MMEA were wine without excise tape attached and 12 bottles of MMEA type whiskey without excise stamps attached.

The estimated value of illegal MMEA goods is IDR 1.34 million with a potential state revenue of IDR 940 thousand.

All packages in the form of illegal MMEA were taken to the Kudus Customs and Excise Office for further examination.
