The Pangudi Luhur Integrated Sentra Flat in Bekasi will be inhabited by 13 people with disabilities, 17 elderly, and 55 other vulnerable groups. They are charged a rental fee of Rp. 10,000 per month to live in the flat.

The results of this collaborative work between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of PUPR provide 93 type 24 square meters rooms that are equipped with stacked, mattresses, wardrobes, tables, chairs, kitchen sets, toilet seats, showers, and electricity token 1300 watts.

One of the beneficiaries Sri Sukowati (50) expressed her joy to be able to move to the flat. On a daily basis, she and her husband, Soebagyo (60) work as scavengers with an income of IDR 10,000 IDR 12,000.

It's nice to be able to move because it's clean and new. Thank God there are items. I don't have that bed, which has an iron bed," said Wati.

Wati hopes that by living in flats he and his family can live more decently. He also hopes that his economic standards will increase in order to provide better education to his two sons.

"I want to sell nasi uduk again. I used to sell but went bankrupt. I can cook all kinds of things. Hopefully I can sell again like warteg. My children can go to higher school," said Wati.

Until now, the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of PUPR have built 3 flats, namely the Flats at the Pangudi Luhur Bekasi Integrated Center, the Flats at the Mulya Jaya Pasar Rebo Center, and the Flats in the Integrated Center Prof. Dr. Soeharso Solo, which is currently still under construction.
