JAKARTA - The inactive governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, said that his barber, Budi Hermawan alias Beni, had indeed visited Singapore. However, his departure was for work.

Lukas put the body on Budi, who recently underwent an examination of the alleged bribery and gratuity case that ensnared Lukas. "The barbershop is looking for work," said Lukas to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, February 10.

Beni is called Lukas to Singapore when he is sick and being treated in the Lion Country. The barber came twice.

Meanwhile, the KPK ensured that Beni's investigation was carried out because there were allegations that he was related to the receipt of bribes and gratuities by Lukas. So, investigators summoned him for questioning.

"We have a lot of data related to this person and yesterday it was confirmed properly regarding the alleged flow of money and also when he often went to Singapore on orders from suspect LE," Ali explained to reporters.

It was not specified what the investigators got from the examination. However, Ali confirmed that Beni's statement would make light of the bribery and gratification cases carried out by Lukas.

Moreover, the anti-corruption commission is still pursuing Lukas' assets, which are suspected to have come from bribes and gratuities. "Development (of Beni, ed) is important," he said.

Previously reported, Lukas became a suspect in alleged bribery and gratification for allegedly receiving money from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka. The gift was made so that the private company got a project in Papua.

The KPK said that there was a 14 percent agreement on the value of the contract and payments must be free of tax deductions.

After agreeing, Rijantono's company got three projects. The first is the improvement of Jalan Entrop-Hamadi with a project value of IDR 14.8 billion.

Rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure supporting PAUD Integration with a project value of IDR 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental planning project developed outdoor AURI with a project value of IDR 12.9 billion.

After the project was won, Rijantono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to tens of billions that have just been investigated by the KPK.

Apart from Lukas, the KPK suspects that there are officials who play in accepting bribes and gratuities. However, investigators are still investigating.
