The discovery of the body of a man named Sarkani (51), a resident of Jagalan Kaliwungu Hamlet, in the Wakak river, Mororejo Village, Kaliwungu District, Kendal Regency, had shocked local residents.

The body was found by a resident of Mororejo Village who at that time was fishing, Wednesday, February 8. Kaliwungu Police Chief AKP Slamet Mustamto confirmed the discovery of the body. He said the incident was known by the Kaliwungu Police, where the Kaliwungu Police guard officers were contacted by residents of Mororejo village regarding the discovery of the body. When members of the Kaliwungu Police and BPBD Kendal Regency arrived at that location the corpse was still on the banks of the Wakak river in Mororejo Village,' said the police chief. According to the Kaliwungu Police Chief, the chronology of the discovery of the corpse began on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at around 15.00 WIB by eyewitnesses.

At that time, witness Lily Suryana was looking for fish in the Wakak river, then she saw a joran in the middle of the river rising upwards, and the witness lifted the row, and it turned out that there was a corpse wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt without pants, then the witness reported to the Kaliwungu Police, "explained the police chief. Furthermore, a member of the Kaliwungu Police, assisted by BPBD Kendal Regency, evacuated the body and then the body was taken to the Puskesmas," he said. After a post-mortem and examination of the body with physical characteristics in the body, it was discovered that the body was named Sarkani (51), a resident of Jagalan RT 5/RW 2, Kutoarjo Village, Kaliwungu District, then the victim was taken to the funeral home.
