"The government has deployed aid of 23,660 kilograms of rice to 4,225 residents after the establishment of an emergency status for extreme weather disasters by the Regent of Pudjirustaty Narang," said Pulang Pisau Regional Secretary Tony Harisinta at Pulang Pisau, Thursday.

According to him, two villages in Kahayan Kuala District were affected by extreme weather, namely Kiapak and Cemantan villages, while in Sebangau Kuala District, Sei Bakai Village and Sei Hambaliwang Village.

Head of the Social Protection and Welfare Division of the Pulang Pisau Social Service, Leonard T Kassa, said that as the person in charge of distributing aid to the community, his party had collected 23,660 kilograms of rice from the government's rice reserve stock (CBP) in Bulog.

Based on data compiled by the team in the field, residents who received logistical assistance affected by extreme weather disasters included Kahayan Kuala District, namely Kiapak Village as many as 232 families or as many as 822 people with a total of 4,603 kilograms of rice assistance. Cemantan Village contained 387 families or 1,357 people with 8,599 kilograms of rice assistance.

Sebangau Kuala District in Sei Bakau Village there are 284 families or 1,230 people with a total of 6,888 kilograms of rice aid and 282 families or 816 people from Sei Hambaliwang Village with 4,569 kilograms of rice distributed.

"The amount of assistance provided to the community refers to the basic needs standard in one day, namely by calculating 0.4 grams / soul times 14 days, so that the amount of aid rice can be sufficient for 1,185 families or 4,225 people affected by extreme weather disasters," said Leonard.
