As many as five housing units in Aceh Tamiang Regency were reported to have caught fire and caused one person to be injured in the incident reported by the Aceh Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

He explained that a fire in a resident's house occurred in two locations, namely Gampong Bukit Karim Pajak Blang Kandis, Bandar Pusaka District and Gampong Dusun Sumberejo Kampung Tualang Tukul, Tenggulun District.
The fire in Bandar Pusaka occurred on Tuesday, February 7 at around 24.00 WIB, while in Tenggulun District the fire broke out on Wednesday, February 8 at around 07.30 WIB. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
As a result of the incident, as many as five houses were damaged, including three houses were heavily damaged and one unit was lightly damaged in Bandar Pusaka District and one house was heavily damaged in Tenggulun District.
"The affected victims were 20 people in Bandar Pusaka District and five people in Tenggulun District," he said.
According to him, of the dozens of victims affected by the two sub-districts, as many as six children, two toddlers, and one baby, as well as the rest groups of teenagers and adults.
"They fled to the local village hall," he said.
He added that after receiving fire information, Aceh Tamiang BPBD officers immediately moved to the scene for extinguishing and monitoring at the scene until the fire was extinguished.
