JAKARTA - The police said there was a possibility that the Nomad Porter Susi Air aircraft with flight number SI 9368 after landing at Paro Airport, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains was detained by an armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya.

He explained that according to a report given by the District of the Timika Region Susi Air Manager Jeremy Jordan Rumi, the plane piloted by Philips Max Marthin, a New Zealander, carried five passengers and took off from Mozes Kilangin Airport, Mimika Regency, to Paro Airport, Paro District, Nduga Regency.

He added that currently, TNI and Polri officers who are members of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Nduga Police personnel, and TNI colleagues are investigating the condition of the pilot and all aircraft passengers.

"The team will also investigate whether or not the accident caused the fire of the Nona Porter Susi Air plane or allegedly burned by certain parties. It is possible that the plane was detained by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) Nduga Leader Egianus Kogoya because the area is included in their headquarters," he explained.

Previously, the Commander of the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force, Kombes Pol. Faizal Rahmadani said the fate of the New Zealand national pilot and the passengers of Susi Air was not yet known upon arrival at the Paris Air Lapangan, Nduga Regency, Papua.
