SOUTH KALIMANTAN - Families with people with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) in Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), can receive medical care services at home or homecare.

This was informed by the Head of Paringin Health Center, Dr. Aulia Asmi Setiawaty, who revealed that his party was open to medical calls for periodic treatment of ODGJ patients at home.

"We are always ready when we are called to people's homes and serve various complaints, and like ODGJ who goes berserk, even though it is not a homecare patient but we also come to serve," he said in Paringin, South Kalimantan, Tuesday, February 7, as reported by Antara.

He said that the public responded well to the homecare program for health services.

"We always regularly visit and monitor the development of homecare patients, we even provide education and understanding of health," said Aulia.

Aulia revealed, through the homecare program, the cure rate for chronic patients is quite high because patients can be controlled.

It is known, this homecare program is one of the flagship programs of the Balangan Regency Government in the health sector. Until now, all puskesmas in Balangan Regency have run routinely, traveling to residents' homes.

One of the residents of Balangan, Lestari, really appreciates and fully supports the homecare program run by the Balangan Regency Government through the local puskesmas.

"Hopefully this program will continue in the future, because this program is very useful for the community," said Lestari.
