Confirmed Brigadier Matthew's Body, Pegubin Police Chief Calls All Victims Falling In The Diguel River Found All

PAPUA - Kapolres Gunung Bintang (Pegubin) AKBP Muhammad Dafi Bastomi said the bodies found by the community in Kawagit District, Boven Diguel Regency, were the bodies of Brigadier Yohanes Matthews. "It is true that the bodies found by the people in Kawagit, last Monday were First Brigadier Matthew, who was one of the victims who fell on the Diguel River while heading to Iwur," said AKBP Dafi Bastomi to Antara in Jayapura, Tuesday, February 7. Currently, he continued, the body is already in Tanah Merah, the capital of Boven Diguel Regency. With the discovery of the body of Brigadier Matthew, he said, all the victims who were missing and fell on the Diguel River on Saturday, January 28 had been found. The body of Brigadier Yohanes Matthew, was evacuated to Nabire on a Smart Air plane Tuesday afternoon using a Smart Air plane. "The four members of the TNI-Polri who fell and disappeared in the Diguel River have been found," said AKBP Dafi. The Bintang Mountains Police Chief expressed his gratitude to all parties, including residents of Iwur District and Kouh District, for their participation and assistance in efforts to find victims. "Thank you for the assistance that has been given until the four bodies were evacuated to be buried in their hometowns," said AKBP Dafi. Four TNI-Polri bodies that fell on the Diguel bridge and were found dead were Pratu Ferdian, Bripda Risman, Bripda Steven Randongkir, and First Brigadier Yohanes Matthew.
