TANGERANG - Police are investigating the death of a SMK student with the initials A (18) who is suspected of being a victim of a hit-and-run on Jalan RE Martadinata, Ciputat. Officers are examining a number of CCTV footage at the scene.

Head of Public Relations of the South Tangerang Police, Ipda Galih, said that his party was investigating the case by examining CCTV and several witnesses. This aims to reveal the case.

The accident that occurred on Wednesday, February 1, at around 06.15 WIB, was witnessed by residents. At the time of the incident a resident claimed to have heard a loud sound.

"So when it's just a 'brake', that (victim) falls, the truck road and the busyway (Transjakarta)," said Wiwin, a resident who was around the scene, Sunday, February 5.

Based on his vision, said Wiwin, the victim was traveling from the direction of Pamulang, trying to overtake the vehicle. Then there were also transjakarta buses and large trucks passing by.
