Japanese famousfeatured restaurant chain operator Sushiro said on Friday it would temporarily limit the use of conveyor belts to order food specifically after customers were found to have abused andverted unused cups andsekps.

Akindo Sushiro Co. said in a press release that customers would be asked to order food on the touch screen panel, instead of taking ready-to-eat food served on a plate that runs with a conveyor belt past many visitors.

The move comes after videos of unhygienic behavior by customers at a viral restaurant in cyberspace, led Akindo Sushiro to file a complaint of legal damage to police against customers earlier this week.

The restaurant will be considering returning to its original system after some time, added the operator, according to Kyodo News on February 3.

In addition, Sushiro restaurants will put up acrylic boards between chairs and walking tires, to prevent unnecessary contact betweentensies and customers.

If customers feel uncomfortable using the tea cup and the spices provided at their table, the restaurant will replace it with something different when requested.

Previously, in a video widely shared on social media, a customer of the Sushiro branch in Gifu Prefecture, Japan was caughtURing the top of an open soy sauce bottle, putting the edge of an unused tea cup into their mouths, and then wiping a plate of▁perjalanangouran with a finger covered in saliva.

"These are just a few things we can do now with our best abilities. We sincerely ask for your understanding," the press release said.

Although the company has received direct apologies from people featured in their recordings and guardians, the company said it would "continue to carry the case civilly and criminally".

The outlet in the video has cleared all the cups in the affected shop, replacing all the soy sauce bottles.
