For The Sake Of Corruption, Mahfud MD Said Jokowi Would Immediately Ratify The SPBE Program In The Government

President Jokowi received a report regarding past human rights violations from the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the PPHAM Team Mahfud MD (right) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 11.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD revealed that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has a new government digitization program. A program called the electronic-based government system (SPBE) will soon be ratified by the head of state.

"There is a government digitization program called SPBE. This will soon be ratified by the President so that corruption, collusion of payments under the table and so on can be blocked," Mahfud said after visiting the Bina Siwi Orphanage, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Friday, February 3, was confiscated by Antara.

He said, collusion and potential practices of abuse are still rampant in the licensing process in the fields of mining, forestry and the like in the regions. What is also felt by the perception of the international community will be prevented.

"The certainty of trying in Indonesia is how, not we don't take action, we take action but we need certainty and certainty that must now be regulated, based on new strategic policies," said Mahfud MD.

Therefore, the government needs a targeted program by digitizing the government in order to reduce or even eliminate various loopholes and potential abuse.

"If there is an SPBE that has been completed, how come there is still, for example, corruption, so arrest it too. But that effort has been made," he added.

Mahfud emphasized that the government has been and will continue to seriously prevent corruption. He also reminded President Jokowi's order asking law enforcement officials to 'bit' the perpetrators of corruption.

"The president said the main thing is not to be indiscriminate, the President has said I would 'bit' myself if I knew that. This means that it is handed over to the KPK or to the Attorney General's Office, and the Attorney General's Office as we know it has done it seriously for that," he said.
