JAKARTA - The attempted kidnapping that was experienced by students of SDN 11 Pulogebang, Cakung District, East Jakarta occurred when the victim with the initials B was about to go to school. It was later discovered that the victim went to school alone without his parents escorting him. The kidnapping attempt occurred on Jalan Doctor Sumarno, Cakung, East Jakarta.

Principal of SDN 11 Pulogebang, Maryati confirmed the incident of the attempted kidnapping of her students. According to Maryati, from the victim's story, she had invited someone to play with her cellphone but she didn't want to and ran to save herself.

"(The incident happened) when he was about to go to school. At 09.00 WIB it happened in the morning," Maryati told reporters, Friday, February 3.

Based on the child's statement, continued Maryati, there were 3 people in the car and 2 people outside (the car).

"(The perpetrators) are all gentlemen," he said.

Meanwhile, according to Kuswati, one of the parents of the student at SDN admitted that she was very worried about the crime of kidnapping children. To anticipate, parents should drop off and pick up their children more often when going to school.

"Before school hours, don't pick them up late. It must be earlier. We have to cooperate between mother and child. We are worried, the point is to be more careful," he added.

Previously, it was reported that the kidnapping almost took place in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, Friday, February 3. The victim is a 5th grade student at SDN Pulogebang 11, the incident occurred when the victim was walking to his school.

The perpetrator carried out the action by luring him to play games on the perpetrator's cellphone. The victim had refused, but was forced by the perpetrator.

"When I passed the highway near Al-Azhar, people were asked to play cellphones. He called to ask him to play his cellphone (owned)," said the victim in a video recording, Friday, February 3.

According to the victim, the perpetrator in his action used a black car. A perpetrator got out of the car and persuaded the victim to play games on the perpetrator's cellphone.

"Eh suddenly the person forced him to get into the car. I wanted to, eh, the person was still forced. Finally I ran away," he said.
