"ProBOLINGGO - A total of 72 teachers in Probolinggo Regency, East Java, are the organizers of the 2024 General Election as well as the adhoc body at the level of the sub-district election committee (PPK), the voting committee (PPS) and the sub-district supervisory committee (Panwascam).," said Head of the Probolinggo Education and Culture Office, Head of the Probolinggo Regency KPU Lukman Hakim, and Head of the Probolinggo Regency Fathul Qorib. "We provide directions, one of which relates to the workload of teachers in accordance with Law (UU) Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers," he said. Article 35 paragraph 2 explains that the workload of teachers is at least 24 hours face-to-face and as much as 40 hours face-to-face in a week. "I hope that teachers from ASN, GTT and PTT who are active in the election organizer committee must fulfill their main duties as teachers and work professionally in election organizers," he said. He also asked regional coordinators and school principals as direct supervisors to monitor the performance of teachers who are the organizers of the 2024 General Election. "If it is found to be time abusers, opportunities and harm the parties both the Education Office and the KPU, then the performance will be evaluated," he said.
