Gerindra: Prabowo Will Continue Development Of IKN Nusantara If He Becomes President In 2024

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said, his General Chair, Prabowo Subianto, would also continue the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago if he was elected president in the 2024 Election contestation. Muzani said that apart from continuing development policies in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Prabowo also wanted to realize the old ideals of the 1st President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno alias Bung Korno to move the capital city to Kalimantan. "Our national hero Tjilik Riwut once conveyed the idea to move the capital city to Bung Karno to Kalimantan. And Bung Karno agreed," said Muzani to reporters, Thursday, February 2. However, due to the conditions of political dynamics at that time it did not allow, said Muzani, discussions did not continue. Therefore, Gerindra is determined to win Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election. "But what does that mean? That Indonesia's future is on the earth of Kalimantan. Our determination to make Central Kalimantan Prabowo's base, we must work hard for it," explained Muzani.

The Deputy Chairperson of the MPR also revealed that Gerindra's goal to make Prabowo Subianto, as president of the Republic of Indonesia, was to carry out the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. Because according to Muzani, the extraordinary wealth contained in Indonesia must be used for the prosperity and welfare of the people, not yet realized.

"Has our people enjoyed that wealth? That's why Gerindra wants President Prabowo 2024. Because the purpose of power that we want to achieve later is only one meaning, making the Indonesian people smile looking at his future," said Muzani.

"We want the wealth in Kalimantan, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Java, and Papua to be used as much as possible for the prosperity of the Indonesian people," he added.

Muzani added that Prabowo had said that the wealth in Indonesia was able to make Indonesia a big country. This is in accordance with Bung Karno's mandate.

"That's why Bung Karno once said, I left Indonesia's wealth to envy the world. That wealth must be the Indonesians themselves who manage it," he concluded.
