LaNyalla Asks Local Governments To Prioritize Budget For Priority Programs

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, appealed to regional heads to make budget efficiency. According to him, the budget must be prioritized on a priority scale, especially economic recovery and increased governance.

"I ask regional heads to manage the budget efficiently. Focus on substantive things such as empowering the community's economy, increasing apparatus human resources (HR), public services, bureaucratic reform, accountability of apparatus, supervision, institutions and governance," said LaNyalla, Tuesday, January 31.

The senator from East Java said that things that do not need to be better reduced or simplified without reducing the essence and results obtained.

Moreover, continued LaNyalla, information technology is very advanced. Everything that can be done with technology media, it is maximized.

"We encourage the use of information technology, which has developed so rapidly. Regional heads can take advantage of it. For example, meetings, or consultations related to work programs, can be done zoom. This means reducing offline meetings or meetings," he said.

LaNyalla believes that regional heads better understand which programs are prioritized and need to prioritize. So that efficiency can be more optimal and the existing budget is used for priority-scale programs.

"The point is that the absorption of the budget for the main program must be greater than the supporting program," said LaNyalla.
