The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Investment Acceleration Task Force (Satgas) is identifying land utilization permits granted to investors during the New Order era but have not been worked on so far that they are detrimental to the region.
"We will first identify the permits issued by the New Order era and we will carry out control," said Head of the NTB One Stop Investment and Integrated Service Service (DPMPTSP) H Mohammad Rum in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, January 31.
Mohammad Rum said the NTB Investment Acceleration Task Force was one of the breakthroughs of NTB Governor H Zulkieflimansyah and Deputy Governor Hj Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, who aimed at helping to solve various obstacles experienced by investors together.
The elements involved in the task force, he continued, were the NTB Provincial Government, the NTB Regional Police, the NTB High Prosecutor's Office, the TNI-Polri, the National Land Agency (BPN).
In the near future, said Rum, all members of the NTB Investment Acceleration Task Force will hold a meeting to discuss issues that hinder investment, including plans to control land abandoned by investors for a long time.
"We will see what the position of the land is, it will involve BPN. Usually it becomes state land, where do we want to take it, later we will discuss it technically with BPN and will be reported to the central government," he said.
He estimates that the total area of land that has been granted permission for use to investors reaches thousands of hectares and is spread over various locations, such as in Mawun, West Lombok Regency, Sembalun, east Lombok Regency, including PT Gili Trawangan Indah (GTI) land in North Lombok Regency.
His party wants the potential land that has not been cultivated for a long time to be brought under control and then offered back to investors who are committed to investing so that the land brings broad benefits.
"We want to make sure that the land is not abandoned so that there is no contribution to the community and regions," said Rum, who also serves as Head of the NTB Investment Acceleration Task Force.
According to him, solving various investment blockages, including controlling abandoned land by investors, is expected to spur investment in NTB which is getting better.
"In 2022, thank God, we have quite encouraging investment realization achievements, reaching IDR 21.6 trillion. We are in the top 11 investment achievements from all provinces," he said.
