SOLO - The Solo City Government, Central Java, will immediately work on the Gilingan Viaduk project which has been prone to puddles of water when it rains and traffic jams. "This is preparation for Viaduk work. Underpass on time, stakepoles and all kinds, on time," said Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka after meeting representatives from the Class I Railway Engineering Center for the Central Java Region in Solo, Antara, Tuesday, January 31. The project is scheduled to start in February and will be completed in April in the same year. "Before Lebaran is finished, it's only been 2-3 months," he said. The Gilingan Viaduk project will certainly not interfere with the completion of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque considering the distance between the two is close together. "Just finish it, everything is finished. You can go to Zayed ( Sheikh Zayed Mosque), instead there will be an underpass later from the Islamic Center to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. At the same time widen it a little bit," he said. In addition to working on the Gilingan Viaduk, the meeting was also discussed regarding the Simpang Joglo project, which is currently still in the process of being worked on. "In Palang Joglo some were completely closed for 3-4 months, but all of them were on time," he said. Currently at Simpang Joglo, the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia is working on an elevated rail. Later, the seventh intersection will also be arranged by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. Asked about the possibility of land acquisition returning, Gibran was still reluctant to convey. "Coordinating Minister (later), everything is on time," he said.
