The Regent Of Sleman Asks For Social Assistance Not To Be Immediately Finished: Set Aside For Urgent Needs

JAKARTA - Sleman Regent Kustini Sri Purnomo reminded recipients of social assistance to be wise in using financial assistance from the government.

"I hope that the recipient will be wiser in utilizing aid. Use the assistance provided according to its designation," said Sleman Regent Kustini Sri Purnomo during the handover of aid to orphans at the Sleman Regent's Office House Hall, Yogyakarta Special Region, Tuesday, January 31.

"And, as much as possible set aside some of them to anticipate urgent needs in the future," he added as reported by Antara.

The Regent also invited all elements in the community to work hand in hand to help the underprivileged.

"Although the government continues to periodically distribute aid and stimulants, the government's reach will be more helped by the concern of all levels of society," he said.

The Sleman Regent symbolically handed over social assistance from the government to four representatives of orphans during the event which took place at the Sleman Regent's Office Hall.

Head of the Social Service Office of Sleman Regency, Eko Suhargono, explained that the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs' children distributed aid to orphans, orphans, and orphans through the 2022 ATENSION Program.

"This ATENSION assistance is distributed non-cash for three months from October to December, each IDR 200,000 per recipient, with a total assistance of IDR 600,000 per beneficiary," he said regarding the value of assistance for children who lost one or both parents.

He added that the assistance was distributed through the Post Office, Bank BNI, and Bank Mandiri.

During the handover ceremony at the Pendopo of the Sleman Regent's Office House, the local government delivered social assistance from the government to 191 beneficiaries who attended.
