JAKARTA - Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan's health condition, who was suddenly taken to the hospital, began to improve after undergoing surgery to install two rings to open a blood clot to his heart.

He said that the Garut Regent previously complained of chest pain while in a meeting at the Pendopo, then was taken to the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) dr Slamet Garut, then referred to the Santosa Hospital, Bandung, Monday (30/1) afternoon.

The Garut Regent, he said, had undergone surgery at the Santosa Hospital to install two rings because there was a blockage of blood to the heart on Monday at around 17.00 to 18.00 WIB.

"You had surgery yesterday, January 30 at 17.00 to 18.00 WIB at Santosa Hospital because there was a blockage of blood vessels to the heart, so two rings were installed," he said.

He conveyed that the operation went smoothly, to be taken to the recovery room at Santosa Hospital.

"Alhamdulillah, the operation went smoothly and now you have entered the recovery room," he said.

Yeni said, in the condition of the recovery, the Garut Regent expressed his gratitude to the community and all those who had prayed for his recovery.

"He also conveyed to the people of Garut, as well as all parties who have prayed for your recovery," he said.

Previously, the Garut Regent together with other regional leadership elements held a meeting in Pamengkang, Pendopo, Monday (30/1) at around 11.30 WIB.

During the activity, the Regent complained of pain in the chest, then the team of doctors conducted an examination and advised him for further treatment at Dr Slamet Garut Hospital, until he finally had to be referred to Santosa Hospital, Bandung.
