JAKARTA - YO (19), an employee at an expedition company became a victim of sexual abuse and violence by his ex-girlfriend with the initials SY alias SAM (23) in the Kalideres expedition office, West Jakarta, Sunday, January 29.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Haris Kurniawan, explained that the perpetrator was the victim's ex-lover.

"The motive was because the perpetrator was burned with jealousy, because the victim after breaking up with the suspect was close to someone else, namely R," said Kompol Haris when confirmed by VOI, Monday, January 30.

The persecution began because the perpetrator was jealous that his ex had another lover. Because of emotions, the perpetrator came to the victim's place of work at the expedition office. When he entered the second floor of the office, the perpetrator immediately threw a helmet at the victim's new sleeping girlfriend.

Seeing the commotion, the victim immediately intervened between the two in order to avoid a fight. Because he was still burning with emotion, the perpetrator then pulled the victim to the third floor. Several people on the second floor at that time did not try to catch up with the victim and the perpetrator.

"They think the perpetrator and the victim are just going to solve the problem. So let the two of them go," he said.

But instead of solving the problem, the perpetrator returned to molesting the victim, even raping her. The rape act was recorded by the perpetrator using a cellphone with the aim that the victim did not report. If reporting, the video will be distributed to social media.

"The reason for having sex, he said to reduce his anger. And if the victim says or reports to the police, this recording spreads to social media," he said.

The victim finally went home and reported the incident to the West Jakarta Metro Police. Move quickly, the police immediately arrested SY and named a suspect in the case.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 6 letter B of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 12 of 2002 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence and Article 289 of the Criminal Code and or Article 351 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment of 12 years and a fine of Rp. 300,000,000.
