Defense Minister Prabowo Calls The Role Of Babinsa In The Very Strategic Region

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (Menhan RI) Prabowo Subianto said the role of village development officers (Babinsa) was very strategic, especially in the last three years, one of which was when facing the COVID-19 pandemic. "I express my gratitude to all Babinsa for their dedication in carrying out their duties," said Prabowo as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, January 29. Prabowo mentioned that Babinsa should continue to build cohesiveness and synergy with the Police and government apparatus, so that increasingly complex future challenges can be overcome together. After giving directions to the Santika Dyandra Hotel Medan, the Indonesian Minister of Defense also handed over 100 units of motorcycles for Babinsa operations.Pangdam I/Bukit Barisan Major General Daniel Chardin, represented by Kasdam I/BB Brigadier General Rifky Nawawi, explained that this event was attended by 2,073 Kodam I/BBB Soldiers who came from North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau and Ripri, with the composition of five Danrem, 19 Main Officials, 34 Dandim, and 2,000 Babinsa. Kasdam I/BB said this briefing was an honor and happiness for the soldiers of Kodam I/BB. "We also are grateful and have been given assistance to motorcycles. Hopefully this assistance will further support the operation of Babinsa activities to provide his best work to the nation and state," said Kasdam I/BBB. North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi, North Suma Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, Danlantamal I Belawan, North Sumda, PJU Kodam I/BB, Mayor of Medan, as well as other relevant officials.
