Haji Lulung's Son, Anies, Like The Deceased Of His Father Before

JAKARTA - Kader Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) Guruh Tirta Lunggana said that he visited NasDem Tower regarding his support for Anies Baswedan to become a presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election.

"From 2017, the deceased (Abraham Lunggana / Haji Lulung) together with Mr. Anies, and now God willing, we will continue the struggle that will guard Mr. Anies," said Tirta Lunggana as quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 29.

Tirta Lunggana is the son of Haji Lulung, an Indonesian politician who has served as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia for the Electoral Region of DKI Jakarta III from 2019 to 2021 at Commission VII.

In addition to visiting NasDem, Tirta Lunggana said that he would visit the Democratic Party and PKS.

"When (visiting the Democrats and PKS), I don't know yet. We are waiting to be invited. Like that," said Tirta.

Tirta said that he would continue to strive to fight with Anies Baswedan, even though PPP had not yet determined who the presidential candidate would be with the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB).

When asked what if PPP carries presidential candidates other than Anies, he said that he would continue the struggle to support Anies in different places.

"We will try to work together with other administrators with other extended families, of course, whether our next steps will last or we will continue the struggle in different places, such as that," said Tirta.

In the meeting between Tirta and NasDem, Bestari Barus senior politicians were also present. Bestari openly invited Tirta to join the NasDem party and support Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate.

"These are all PPP cadres who came, former first from PAN, moved to PPP, now the hope is that it will not be small, move to Nasdem," said Bestari Barus.

Based on previous reports, Tirta has just been removed from her position as Chair of the DKI Jakarta PPP DPW through SK Number 0790/SK/DPP/W/I/2023 concerning Ratification of Changes in the Management Structure of the Regional Leadership Council of the United Development Party of DKI Jakarta Province for the 2021-2026 Service Period.

In the latest decree, there is an arrangement, including the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PPP DPW Syaiful Rahmat, Guruh Tirta Lunggana Secretary, Junaedi Deputy Secretary, Hermansyah Deputy Secretary, Treasurer Mujahid Samal, Deputy Treasurer Mulyadi, and Deputy Treasurer Sumartini.
