Oh My Goodness! Last Year 273 Trenggalek Children Restricted Marriage Dispension, The Cause Some Are Pregnant

JAKARTA - Data from the Religious Court (PA) of Trenggalek Regency, East Java, last year there were 273 teenagers / minors who applied for a marriage dispensation.

"The factors vary. Starting from the culture of an area to economic reasons, avoiding adultery or husband and wife relationships outside of marriage and so on," said Panitera Muda Law of PA Trenggalek Jimmy Jannatino, in Trenggalek, Friday, January 27, as reported by Antara.

Another factor in applying for a marriage dispensation is "married by accident" (pregnant of an extramarital relationship). He did not deny, of the 273 marriage dispensation applications, some of them were motivated by pregnancy first. But according to Jimmy, the number is not that much.

"It doesn't touch 50 percent," he said.

In deciding the provision of dispensation for marriage, the benefits and disadvantages will be considered. If there are many benefits, it will certainly be given. Then we also see that economically, emotionally and others are considered capable of being married, it will be granted," said Jimmy.

Of the total 273 children who applied for a marriage dispensation, the majority live in remote and coastal areas, such as in the Districts of Watulimo, Pule, and Panggul.

"The most from Watulimo District with 41 cases, then Pule District with 34 cases and followed by Panggul District with 31 cases," he said again.

In addition to the three sub-districts with the highest number of marriage dispensation applications, Jimmy revealed that a marriage dispensation was also proposed for 28 children from Kampak and Dongko sub-districts.

A total of 22 cases in Munjungan District, 19 cases in Tugu District, and 16 cases in Bendungan District.

"Then the sub-district ordered 13 cases, Durenan District 11 cases, and Pogalan District 10 cases. While the last three sub-districts were Gandusari and Karangan sub-districts with nine cases each, and at least Trenggalek sub-district with five cases," he said.
