The Maluku Health Office admits that it has not realized the payment of COVID-19 corpse relocation workers for the last three months of 2022 whose source of funds comes from the provincial government's Unexpected Cost (BTT). "We have written to the provincial BPKAD three times to pay for COVID-19 services, a total of Rp. 6 billion but there has been no answer," said Secretary of the Maluku Health Service, drh. Faradilla Attamimi in Ambon, Antara, Friday, January 27. Faradilla's explanation was conveyed in a working meeting with Commission IV of the Maluku DPRD and the Director of RSUD dr. M. Haualussy Ambon. The Rp6 billion budget is included in the payment for COVID-19 corpse recovery personnel, which is only Rp504 million and the expenditure for coffins of Rp62.4 million that has not been paid. "Other items included in this budget include the payment of incentives for health workers at the Ishak Umarella Hospital from September to November 2022," he said at a working meeting chaired by the deputy chairman of commission IV of the Maluku DPRD, Tien Renjaan. Member of Commission IV of the Maluku DPRD, dr. Elviyana Pattiasina asked the local government to immediately realize the payment because the value was not too large. For the cost of relocation and lifting of COVID-19 coffins from each hospital that has not been received, it is Rp. 504 million, while for personnel operations which include the price of coffins that have not been paid is Rp. 62.4 million. "The current rules must have new evidence to be paid and it turns out that it already exists, but the budget that is included in the regional government's BTT does not yet exist," said Elviyana. Even though the Maluku Provincial Health Office has three times submitted payment requests but there has been no official answer and there is no budget for the last three months of 2022. "Moreover, there is no Revised Regional Budget for the 2022 fiscal year and replaced by Regional Head Regulation (Perkada) to replace the Revised Regional Budget to finance various activities that are very urgent, but these items are not accommodated in BTT," he said. This Unexpected Cost is not only to pay volunteers who serve the relocation of COVID-19 bodies but there are still several other components so that the total budget that must be completed by the local government is Rp. 6 billion. "If you look at the cost, it is not large but an urgent need for the relocation staff, so the local government is asked to disburse the budget," he said.
