A 4,300-year-old Mummy Found In Egypt, Its Conditions Considered The Most 'Surpt'

JAKARTA - An Egyptian archaeological team managed to find a Prophet's tomb near the capital Cairo which contained the oldest and "completer" mummies.

The 4,300-year-old mummy was found at the bottom of a 15-meter-long hole in the fifth and sixth dynastic tomb group near the Leveled Piramis in Saqqara. This announcement was made by the head of Zahi Hawass' excavation team, told Reuters from Antara, Friday, January 27.

The mummy of a man named Hekashepes, is in a limestone sarkofagus that has been sealed in levy.

"This mummy may be the oldest and most complete mummy found in Egypt to date," Hawass, one of Egypt's former antiques ministers, said in a statement.

Among other graves found belonged to Khnumdjedef, an official inspector, royal supervisor, and a priest during the Unas administration, the last Firaun of the fifth dynasty. The tomb is decorated with scenes of everyday life.

Another tomb belonging to Meri, the "secret guard and assistant to the palace's great leader".

Still according to the statement, many statues were found among the graves, including one representing a man and his wife as well as several servants.
