WONOGIRI - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo encouraged village heads, sub-district heads, and regents to attract companies related to job opportunities for residents of the extreme poor category. It aims to improve the economy and release them from the extreme poverty line.

This was conveyed by Ganjar after the Joint Coordination Meeting on Poverty Management with Wonogiri, Sragen and Klaten (WonoSraTen) Regency Governments at Mlokomanis Wetan Village Hall, Ngadirojo District, Wonogiri Regency, Thursday 26 January.

"We ask the Manpower Office to look for it per district, how much does it take (workforce), we lobby to entrust the poor family, one of which is taken to work so that they canpen for their family," said Ganjar during the briefing.

Ganjar encouraged the village heads, sub-district heads and regents to communicate this to their citizens in the village. If the company is ready to help and needs skilled workers or sold laboratories, Ganjar is ready to assist in facilitating his training.

"But don't be tempted, you know, while I'm unemployed, don't. This is the context of reducing extreme poverty," joked Ganjar.

Ganjar emphasized that this effort is only one of many ways to overcome extreme poverty. Moreover, some companies recorded by the Central Java Province Manpower and Transmigration Office are ready to collaborate.

"Well, in that way, the hope is that they will be able to get an increase in income. So with enough income they will be able to help their families, this is one of them," he explained.

Ganjar expressed his appreciation to the village heads and sub-district heads who were present to provide a positive response. They are also ready to verify and validate data in the next week.

"So (the results of verification and validation) we make this a guide for the database to be able to intervene," he said.
