NasDem Denies Visiting The Gerindra-PKB Secretary To Prevent Alternatives If Coalition With Democrats-PKS Fails To Declaration

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the NasDem Party Ahmad Ali said his party's visit to the Gerindra-PKB Joint Secretariat (Sekber) was not aimed at finding alternative coalitions if the Change Coalition failed to be declared.

"This is the Gerindra coalition and PKB is a friend of the NasDem Party in the government, of course it is a natural thing if later we visit. Today we have not thought about finding alternatives," said Ali at the Gerindra-PKB Secretary, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 26, confiscated by Antara.

Ali said that there were only a few talks related to the declaration of the Change Coalition, which consisted of NasDem, Democrat, and PKS.

"Our talks with PKS and Democrats are also very serious and are also almost complete," he said.

However, Ali emphasized that his party did not rule out political dynamics that could occur in the future.

"That politics is very dynamic, yes. All possibilities can also happen, yes. But at least until today two coalitions have been formed (United Indonesia Coalition) and one has almost also been formed (change coalition). Well, we pray for each other. Okay? Surely whoever the winner is for Indonesia," he said.

Ali explained that the visit of the NasDem Party to the Gerindra-PKB Secretary today was none other than intended to congratulate the inauguration of the Gerindra-PKB Secretary on Monday, January 23.

"Today NasDem visited the struggle house or Gerindra-PKB Secretary, of course he came today, first to congratulate Gerindra and PKB who have just celebrated their new home," he said.

He said the NasDem DPP appreciation for the formation of the Gerindra-PKB Secretary was an obligation and a good tradition that could lighten the atmosphere ahead of the 2024 General Election. According to him, differences in political attitudes are not an excuse for hostility.

"So there is nothing else. I think this political contestation is still a very long time ago. But the air has started to feel from yesterday, and in our opinion we need to disburse it, it is necessary for us to make this contestation a cheerful politics. We are different does not mean we are enemies," he said.

Ali also emphasized that the relationship between the NasDem Party and the Democratic Party and PKS is still going well to this day. He also hopes that the coalition can immediately form the Secretary, such as Gerindra and PKB.

"We visit here, there must be a lot of questions. Then what about NasDem, PKS, Democrats? Keep going well, are communicating, pray also like Gerindra and PKB immediately to make the Secretary," he added.

The NasDem Party became the first political party to come to visit the Gerindra-PKB Secretary after three days after being inaugurated on Monday, January 23.
