Divorce Cases In Depok City Decreased To 3,345 Cases In 2022, A Quarrel Became The Largest Trigger

In 2022, the divorce suit to the Depok Religious Court (PA) will reach 3,887 cases and 3,345 cases have been divorced. Meanwhile, in 2021, the divorce suit was 3,910 cases which were terminated by 3,556 cases. "This divorce case is not only a resident with a Depok City ID card, but non- Depok residents are also recorded in the Depok City PA data," said Marioi Annisahandari in Depok, Antara, Wednesday, January 25. Depok City PA, said Marioi, serves divorce cases for all Indonesian citizens regardless of their social status and residential area. There were 1,452 divorce cases for residents with Depok ID cards over the past year. The remaining 1,893 cases did not have Depok ID cards, they took care of the divorce using a domicile letter. "We will follow up and sort out again whether this 1,893 cases really are not residents who live in Depok or residents who have lived in Depok for a long time but do not have a local ID card," he said. Faroni said the factors causing the divorce were diverse. Most cases are due to constant disputes and quarrels, then the economy, and leave one side behind. According to Faroni, although the divorce case in Depok City has decreased, it will still be an evaluation of the Depok City Government (Pemkot) in the future to strengthen the Family Resilience program to the community. Some of the programs carried out include the Pre-Niversary School (SPN) to strengthen teenagers before marriage. Then the Mother's Father's School, parenting, strengthening children's Friendly RWs, the Harmonious Family Learning Center, and so on. "These data will be used as material for our evaluation for planning for future program development," he said.
