SULBAR - The Mamuju Regency Government (Pemkab) in West Sulawesi (Sulbar) formed a task force for handling conflicts between residents that dragged on triggered by land dispute problems. The conflict occurred in Central Mamuju Regency.
West Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Verdianto Iskandar Bitticaca supports the formation of a task force that will be led directly by the Regent of Central Mamuju.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Syamsu Ridwan, added that apart from holding meetings with forkopimda elements, the Kapolda's visit was also to provide assistance and reinforcement in the context of harkamtibmas to Central Mamuju Police personnel.

The clash that occurred in Padang Kalua Hamlet was triggered by a conflict in oil palm plantations.
