"For Mr. Kaesang, go ahead, because politics is not forbidden for the Indonesian nation's children," Awiek told VOI, Tuesday, January 24. According to the Secretary of the PPP faction of the DPR, anyone has the opportunity to join and join a political party. Moreover, his father Jokowi, his brother Gibran Rakabumimg Raka and his brother-in-law, Bobby Nasution, also have a political career background. "If there are potential figures to advance in politics, it's good," said Awiek. Awiek also said, PPP opens the door for Kaesang if he wants to join the Ka'bah Party. "PPP as a political party is certainly open with anyone, especially Mr. Kaesang, of course we are very open if he is pleased to join PPP," he said. Previously, the Mayor of Surakarta as well as the first son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) Gibran Rakabuming Raka expressed his younger brother, Kaesang Pangarep, to enter politics.

Gibran said that Kaesang himself conveyed this wish in front of himself and his father, Jokowi, when he returned to Surakarta.

Gibran said that Kaesang's interest was because he wanted to contribute to the region. Moreover, since the last few years, Jokowi's youngest son has also been directly involved in managing the Persis Surakarta Football Club.

"If I look at it, for example Persis, it's Kaesang who worked hard. PSSI's (Extraordinary Congress) KLB is also intense there. If I look at it, it's capable, young people, but learning quickly," he praised Kaesang.

Gibran also had the opportunity to invite Kaesang and Jokowi to several infrastructure projects that are currently in the process of being worked on in Surakarta City.
