JAKARTA - Chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin and General Chairperson of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto have inaugurated the Joint Secretariat (Sekber) together today. Cak Imin hopes that the inauguration of the Gerindra-PKB Secretary can bring Indonesia forward even more.

Initially, Cak Imin revealed the reason the two parties chose January 23, 2023 to inaugurate the Sekber. According to him, today coincides with the beginning of Rajab's month.

"Indeed, we chose January 23, to be precise, 1 Rajab for students and Muslims. Rajab is a momentum to improve and preparations to bring blessings to Ramadan," said Cak Imin at the Gerindra-PKB Secretary, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, January 23.

Cak Imin assessed that the inauguration of this Sekber made the two parties more complete. He hopes that the cooperation between PKB and Gerindra in the future will bring Indonesia to be more prosperous and advanced.

"God willing, with this inauguration, PKB and Gerindra cooperation for a prosperous Indonesia will be realized. PKB and Gerindra trust each other is a force that can be mandated to organize Indonesia for the better, continue the success that exists, and jump further," said the Deputy Speaker of the DPR.

Previously, Prabowo Subianto said that the inauguration of the Sekber was a manifestation of the cooperation between the two political parties for the 2024 election which had been agreed upon at the Gerindra National Meeting last August.

"Today we officially opened the Gerindra-PKB Secretary as a form of implementation of the political cooperation that we decided and agreed on together a few months ago in Sentul, West Java, to be precise on August 13, 2022," Prabowo said at the Secretary., Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, January 23.

The Minister of Defense emphasized that the inauguration of the Secretary and a sign that the PKB-Gerindra coalition was solid to face the 2024 General Election.

"So, today is proof that our cooperation is solid, our determination is solid, our spirit is high, our optimism is great, our great belief is to move forward to the people, to defend the interests of the people," said Prabowo.

Prabowo believes that later the Gerindra-PKB Secretary will not only be filled by only two parties. However, there are also other political parties that join.

"This is a clear start against a religious national party, a religious party that is national. We believe it is not only limited to the two parties," Prabowo said.
