BOGOR - Bogor City Police, arrested DM (21), the perpetrator of the stabbing using an airsoft gun of two lovebirds in Batu Tulis, South Bogor, Bogor City on Friday, January 20 evening.

The Head of Bogor City Police, Kombes Bismo Teguh Prakoso, explained that at the time of the incident the perpetrator asked the victim for money by overflowing sickles and pointing an airsoft gun at the victim who was eating at the Batu Tulis porridge shop.

Feeling scared, the couple then took the cellphone from the car to make an M-Banking transaction. However, the perpetrator immediately took the victim's cellphone.

"The victim did not have cash, then took the cellphone from the car to open M-Banking but was prevented by the perpetrator," said Kombes Bismo in his statement, Sunday, January 22.

"Seeing the cellphone the victim was holding, the perpetrator then snatched it," he continued.

After taking the victim's cellphone, continued Kombes Bismo, the perpetrator immediately fled but was known to the surrounding community.

"When the perpetrator fled there was a young man hanging out, they then gave chase. At that time there was Quik Response (QR) from the South Bogor Police and managed to catch him," said Kombes Bismo.

"The perpetrator carried a sharp weapon and a gun that could endanger the community trying to escape, the officers took firm and measured action," he said.

Evidence in the form of a sickle, an airsoft gun and a cellphone was confiscated from the hands of the perpetrators.

"For his actions, the perpetrator is subject to Article 365 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code which carries a threat of 12 years in prison," he concluded.
