Secretary General of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Aboe Bakar Al-Habsyi said the discourse on establishing the Change Coalition with NasDem and Democrats was developing in a fairly positive direction. However, Aboe could not confirm whether the coalition was formed or not. He also handed over the final results to God's plan. "God decides whether it will be finished or not. It feels like developments are quite positive and good," Aboe told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, January 20. Aboe admitted that his party would not have a problem if later the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) was chosen as the vice presidential candidate accompanying Anies Baswedan. According to him, whoever the figure is suitable for Anies, PKS will support it. "There is no problem (the vice president is not from PKS). Anyway, the candidate is right with the president and our agreement. It's okay, it's okay, go ahead," said Aboe. According to the member of Commission III of the DPR, all agreements will certainly be discussed by the political parties that will form a coalition. So far, he said, the proposal related to Anies vice president is a good figure. PKS itself proposed Ahmad Heryawan. "Later we will discuss it, everything is also good and positive," he said. Regarding the time of declaration of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, Aboe hopes that it can be realized in the near future if the discussion between the three political parties does not change. "We'll see the problem later, the chat will change day by day. We want December to back down, we want to back down, why? Because we want to find the right meeting point. And it's still long, only if possible, the sooner the better," he said. Previously, the chairman of the DPP NasDem Party, Willy Aditya, said that his party was just waiting for the attitude of PKS and Democrats regarding the Change Coalition. "We are actually waiting for the offering from other friends (PKS and Democrats). Yes, cooking, NasDem continues to be slow? Right now it's part of the process, the relationship is resipical, cooking one-sided applause, it's impossible," Willy told reporters, Wednesday, January 18. In addition, Willy said, NasDem was also waiting for PKS and the Democrats to declare Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate who was promoted in the 2024 General Election. This is because so far the two political parties have proposed the name of the vice presidential candidate Anies, but did not announce the former governor of DKI Jakarta as his presidential candidate. "We are also waiting for the offering from these friends to then when to declare Mas Anies. We are waiting too, don't then as if we are chasing," said Willy. Willy revealed that a small team formed by NasDem, PKS and Democrats are currently still discussing the development of the coalition declaration. If the time is right, he hopes that the Change Coalition can be declared immediately. "I continue to consult Pak Surya, submit reports continuously on everything that a small team has produced. Including timing issues and all kinds of things. Yes, if in saving NasDem, if it's okay, just make a declaration," he said.
