Prabowo Drivers Jokowi Jajal Rantis Maung, Gerindra Kagum Makin Kompak Even Though He Had Tarung In The 2019 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Gerindra Party Honorary Council Habiburokhman assessed that the General Chairperson and Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) are getting stronger in government.

This was said by Habiburokhman in response to Prabowo's moment of familiarity with Jokowi while trying out a tactical vehicle (rantis) made by Pindad named 'Maung' at the Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, January 18 morning. Habiburokhman was amazed that the two of them were united even though they had fought each other in the 2019 presidential election.

"It was really cool when Mr. Prabowo was driving President Jokowi on Maung. After a tight contest of two elections, it turns out that at this time he is both very compact working hard for the nation and state," said Habiburokhman, Thursday, January 19.

The member of Commission III of the DPR assessed that the interests of the nation and state could unite Prabowo and Jokowi even though they had been rivals. According to him, as ministers and presidents, both of them also understand each other.

"Pak Jokowi succeeded in leading the country to survive the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Prabowo was successful at his work at the Ministry of Defense. He both respected each other and understood each other," said Habiburokhman.

So, is this familiarity a signal that Prabowo will continue Jokowi's leadership? Related to this, the East Jakarta electoral district legislator was reluctant to mention it as blessing. However, Habiburokhman ensured that Prabowo would continue and maximize the achievements of the Jokowi government so that Indonesia would be more prosperous.

"Insha Allah, if Pak Prabowo is destined to be the next President, Pak Jokowi's achievements will continue to be maintained and maximized so that Indonesia is more prosperous and advanced," he said.
