JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will analyze the search results in the DKI Jakarta DPRD before summoning witnesses, including the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi. Investigators will ensure that anyone who is summoned does need a statement.

"It is the interest of investigators to summon a witness. Therefore, of course in the future the investigative team will analyze the results of this search," Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri told reporters, Thursday, January 19.

Ali said that the summons of witnesses for alleged corruption in land acquisition in Pulogebang could not be arbitrary. The KPK must have evidence of witnesses summoned to know and understand the cases that were attacked.

"So simple, during the investigation process to summon a witness, the current process was followed first," said Ali.

As previously reported, the anti-corruption commission searched the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building on Tuesday, January 18. There were six rooms that were searched, including work rooms on the 10th floor, 8, 6, 4, 2, and staff of Commission C of the DKI DPRD.

From this activity, evidence was found in the form of documents and electronic evidence allegedly related to land acquisition in Pulogebang. All of these findings will be examined by the KPK and confiscated to complete the case file.

Even so, the KPK will not reveal the suspects in this case. Later they will be announced together with efforts to force detention.

For information, allegations of corruption in land acquisition in Pulo Gebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta occurred in 2018-2019. This process was carried out by Perumda Sarana Jaya.
