The AGO Proved That It Would Not Revise Bharada E's 12-year-old Demand

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has confirmed that it will not revise the 12-year prison sentence given to the accused of alleged premeditated murder of Yosua alias Brigadier J, Richard totaling alias Bharada E.

"If it's true why it's being revised, that's the answer. There will never be a revision," said Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) at the AGO Fadil Zumhana to reporters, Thursday, January 19.

The demands of the AGO prosecutors who asked the panel of judges to sentence Bharada E to 12 years in prison are considered by a number of parties not to consider the input of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) regarding the inherent status of justice collaborator (JC) to the defendant.

According to Fadil, the demands given to Bharada E were correct. Because, in determining it has gone through various considerations.

"The problem of reviewing revisions, we know when it will revise. This is correct why it is revised," he said.

So, he did not mind if there were parties who did not agree with the demands. Meanwhile, one of the parties who was disappointed with the demands against Bharada E, namely LSPK.

"So there is no problem. When people are dissatisfied or the institution is not satisfied, it's okay. It's different to the head with different head contents, different powers," said Fadil.

Previously, it was reported that LPSK regretted the 12-year prison sentence against Bharada E in the alleged murder case of Brigadier J. In fact, the status of JC has been pinned to Bharada E.

"Because we hope that we have determined (recommend) Richard as a JC and he has shown his commitment and consistency in revealing this crime openly," said LPSK Deputy Chairman Susilaningtias.

Moreover, according to Susi, the LPSK Law contains leniency of lawsuits for defendants who are recommended as JC in each case.

"We hope that the relief from the imposition of punishment, such as in the Law on the Protection of victim witnesses article 10A, there will be an explanation related to conditional crimes, then the lightest criminal and criminal offenses from the defendants," said Susi.
