JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Warudoyong Resor Sukabumi City Police arrested a young man with the initials IA (19) who was a fugitive in a case of alleged mistreatment of residents on Jalan Lingkar Selatan, Sukabumi City, last Thursday, January 12.

"As a result of the abuse carried out by the suspect, the victim on behalf of Rajab Nurjaman suffered serious injuries to the abdomen as a result of being stabbed with a sharp weapon of the type of sickle," said the Daily Executor (Plh) of the Warudoyong Police Chief AKP Iman Retno in Sukabumi on Thursday, January 19, quoted from Antara.

According to Iman, after the persecution that resulted in the victim having to undergo intensive treatment at the hospital, the suspect fled to a number of places to avoid being chased by the police.

However, thanks to the collaboration between the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Warudoyong Police and the Sukabumi City Police Satreskrim, the suspect who is a resident of Sukasari Village, Cisaat District, Sukabumi Regency was finally arrested not far from his home on Jalan Veteran Desa/Kecamatan Cisaat on Monday (16/1) early morning.

From the hands of the suspect, the police confiscated evidence by the suspect to persecute his victim in Sukakarya Village, Warudoyong District, a sickle.

"We have detained the suspect in the prison cell of the Warudoyong Police Headquarters for the purpose of developing the case. The motive was that the suspect was desperate to carry out the persecution which led to the stabbing because he felt offended by the victim," he added.

Iman said that as a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution which resulted in the victim being seriously injured with the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of five years in prison.
