The Kudu District Health Office (Dinkes) noted that the implementation of Human Papiloma Virus (HPV) immunization to prevent cervical cancer targeting elementary school grade V students or 11 years old during the end of 2022 had not yet reached the target. He revealed that the HPV immunization program is a new program from the Ministry of Health.

Initially, he added, the implementation was scheduled for only one month, but due to delays in the distribution of vaccines from the Central Java Provincial Health Office, the completion was until November 2022.

Of the 21 Puskesmas that carried out these tasks, it was recorded that there were several Puskesmas that met the achievement targets, while other Puskesmas varied.

Later, the interval between 6-12 months will be injected back for the second dose when the students advance to class VI.

In addition to the HPV immunization program, this year there is also another new immunization program, namely the immunization of viral pneumociccus (PCV) which will later become a routine immunization program for children.

The PCV immunization aims to provide effective protection for infants and children against pneumonia or pneumonia due to infection with pneumococusing bacteria.
