In Terms Of Education, Australian Embassy Officials Visited The Papua Provincial Government

PAPUA - Australian Embassy officials (Kedubes) working visits to the Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov). They again strengthened cooperation, especially in the field of education and community services, visiting Bumi Cenderawasih on Monday, January 16.

Australia's Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Steve Scott said, after facing three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, this visit was very important.

According to Steve, strengthening this cooperation is very important, especially in terms of geography, Australia and Eastern Indonesia are quite close.

Meanwhile, Assistant for General Affairs of the Regional Secretary of Papua, Derek Hegemur, said that his party appreciated the arrival of the Embassy from Australia and various collaborations so far.

"So that in the future it will become part of the cooperation that needs to be improved again specifically in programs that are the basis of service to the community," he said.

During the visit of Australian Embassy officials, they were also present to welcome the Assistant for the Economy and People's Welfare, the Head of the Kominfo Service, to the Kesbangpol Education Office, Bapenda and other agencies in the Papua Regional Secretary Meeting Room.
