Presidential Chief of Staff Dr. Moeldoko warned that the execution of land disputes, in Penara Serdang Hilir Village, in Tanjung Merawa sub-district, Deli Serdang, would not cause social conflict. For this reason, he emphasized the importance of all officers anticipating all possibilities that could disrupt stability.

For information, the coordination meeting was attended by representatives from the Regional Government and Forkopimda Deli Serdang, as well as PTPN II. The coordination meeting followed up on complaints from residents regarding the execution of the 464 hectare land dispute.

On that occasion, Moeldoko also conveyed that the Presidential Staff Office fully oversees the resolution of agrarian conflicts which are one of the Presidential Priority programs. "So that the resolution of the conflict goes well," he continued, the Presidential Staff Office has sent a letter to the National Police and the TNI to pay attention to the locations of the conflict.
