The Calculations Of Coordinating Minister Mahfud Who Dares To Say Supporters Of Lukas Enembe Are 'Stack-National'

Papua's inactive governor Lukas Enembe was taken to the Guntur Detention Center (Wardhany Tsa Tsia - VOI)

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD ensured that Papua's condition was conducive after the arrest of the suspect in the alleged corruption case of the inactive Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe by the KPK.

"Now Papua is very conducive and Papuan figures have spoken so that the law is enforced against Lukas Enembe. All of them, the chairman of the KNPI, community leaders, traditional leaders (say) enforce the law," Mahfud said at the Presidential Palace, Friday, January 13, as reported by Antara.

The indicators are the fewer people who have participated in demonstrations since the arrest of Lukas Enembe in Jayapura City, Papua, last January 10.

"We continue to be criticized by the people, as if we were afraid of Lukas Enembe and his gang. Yes, we investigated how big is it? At first, thousands of people demonstrated, we let it go. Finally, it went down and down, until finally below 100 (people), that's just people eating. How do you calculate it? What kind of rice to buy that person. Every day it comes down, it means that every day his followers don't exist. Now it's very conducive, right?" Mahfud said bluntly.

The government also continues to monitor the movement of money by people related to the suspect Lukas Enembe.

"There is this authorization money, therefore; we monitor it through PPATK (Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center). If it is used to commit unlawful acts, vandalism, and so on; (then) we will take it as soon as possible," he said.

After being arrested, Lukas Enembe was sent to undergo medical treatment at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/1). However, on Wednesday (12/1), the suspension of detention had been canceled so that Lukas Enembe underwent an examination at the KPK building, Jakarta.

Lukas Enembe was named by the KPK as a suspect together with the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua Rijatono Lakka in the alleged bribery and gratification case related to infrastructure development projects in Papua Province.

In this case, Rijatono Lakka allegedly handed over money to Lukas Enembe about Rp. 1 billion after being elected to work on three infrastructure projects at the Papua Provincial Government, namely a multi-year project to improve the Entropy-Hamadi road with a project value of Rp. 14.8 billion; multi-year rehabilitation projects for facilities and infrastructure to support PAUD Integration with a project value of Rp. 13.3 billion; and multi-year projects to organize the venue to shoot outdoor AURI with a project value of Rp. 12.9 billion.

The KPK suspects that the suspect Lukas Enembe has received other gifts as gratuities related to his position, which based on preliminary evidence so far amounted to around Rp. 10 billion.

For the purposes of the investigation, the KPK detained Lukas Enembe for the next 20 days starting from 11-30 January 2023 at the KPK Detention Center at Pomdam Jaya Guntur.
