JAKARTA - The media intelligence company, Indonesia Indicator (I2) has appointed Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming as the most popular and most popular young politician in 2022.

Director of Communications I2 Rusika Herlambang, said Gibran was at the top of the list. It can be seen both from the news exposure and the number of statements quoted by the media.

"Throughout January 1-20 December 2022, Gibran's figure appeared in 41,946 news from 20,194,242 total news presented by 8,244 online media in the country," said Rustika, as reported by Antara, Friday, January 13.

As a vocal politician in 2022, according to Rustika, Gibran's statement was quoted by online media in Indonesia as many as 76,427 times. Gibran's position as the favorite and favorite figure, he said, could be because of his position as the first son of President Joko Widodo.

According to Rustika, 20 figures who are included in the 2022 Prevented and Defendable Young Politicians list show that Indonesia has good political cadres.

"This can be seen in new breakthroughs in their government, pro-active, dynamic, and starting to use or do good media and social media management," he said.

Meanwhile, Gibran's popularity in the media was followed by his sister-in-law, Medan Mayor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution. Jokowi's son-in-law occupies the second position of the 2022 Prevented and Defendable Young Figures. Figur Bobby colored the online media coverage in the country in 37,170 news, while the number of statements quoted by the media reached 72,857.

Rustika explained that Bobby's position as Jokowi's son-in-law was one of the factors that made his name often reported. However, Bobby was formed by the media quite well for his various activities and policies.

Furthermore, the position of the third detained and favorite young politician in 2022 was occupied by the Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman. Andi appeared in 25,768 reports and his statement quoted by the media reached 47,291.

According to Rustika, Andi Sudirman was greatly appreciated by street vendors Lego-Lego for providing a place for them, providing fire logistical assistance quickly, and receiving awards from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) for the achievement of macro development.

Then, Deputy Governor of East Java Emil E. Dardak was in fourth position with 16,668 news and 33,536 statements. According to Rustika, Emil Dardak's figure was widely appointed when he was inaugurated as Chairman of the East Java Democratic Party DPD.

Emil's performance, which focuses on handling oral and leg disease (PMK) in cattle, has received the attention of the mass media. In addition, he was reported several times and quoted by the media about the economy.

Based on the results of this research, I2 concluded that the party's regeneration has proven to be going well, as seen in the 20 names included in the Prevented and Opposite Politicals 2022.

"A total of 18 politicians came from political parties, while the two names came from non-independent routes even though they were promoted by political parties to the current position, namely the Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman and the Regent of Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani," said Rustika.
