10 Of The 14 Soldiers Arrested In Jatinegara Are Still Children

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Team arrested 14 teenagers who were heavily armed gangsters in the Jatinegara area on Monday night, January 9. The head of the East Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Team, Ipda Aman Wibowo, said the teenagers were arrested in two different locations in the Jatinegara area.

"When we were on patrol, we received information that around Ciplak Market there was a crowd of teenagers who wanted to do a brawl," said Aman Wibowo, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, January 10.

Aman added that this teenager plans to find an enemy group to be invited to a brawl via live Instagram in the Kebon Nanas area and Ciplak Market, Cipinang Besar Selatan Village.

Aman revealed that when the team arrived, the perpetrators tried to escape while trying to hide sharp weapons at a kiosk around the Ciplak Market to trick the officers.

"When we arrived they had tried to escape, we secured four people," said Aman.

Aman said the 10 teenagers who were arrested were legally still children. The teenagers were secured with evidence of two sharp weapons and a number of motorcycles they were driving.

Furthermore, Aman said that of the four teenagers, his party also secured two barbars that had been modified into swords, and a sickle.

Currently 14 teenagers from two different groups along with evidence of sharp weapons have been handed over to the Jatinegara Police for further investigation.

"We brought it to be followed up by the Jatinegara Police," said Aman.
