JAKARTA - Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, questioned the professionalism of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) in managing Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) which has now been revitalized.

This is in response to the case of the helmet roughness of one of the TIM visitors that went viral on social media. The victim who lost this item felt that the management had let go even though he had reported this case.

"It's a shame the problem of losing a helmet can be crowded on social media because people are not satisfied with Jakpro's handling as TIM manager. It should be questioned about Jakpro's professionalism," Anggara told reporters, Tuesday, January 10.

Ara urged Jakpro to immediately improve the management of the Jakarta Arts Center (PKJ) TIM. Jakpro must evaluate and apologize instead of throwing responsibilities at each other.

"If you manage parking security, you can't manage other elements of the TIM? There are many performance buildings and other facilities," he added.

Anggara revealed that the poor management of the TIM that appears to be in this case is not in line with the budget issued in the APBD. In 2023, DKI will disburse capital or public service obligation (PSO) of IDR 134 billion to PT Jakpro.

"Moreover, we have budgeted a large expenditure to Jakpro for management operations. If it can't be professional, we will review Jakpro's position as a manager," he said.

It was widely discussed on social media about the theft of helmets in the now revitalized TIM. One TikTok user shared his experience of losing a helmet while parking a motorcycle in the TIM basement.

He had reported this incident to one of the parking attendants. The officer even admitted that he had lost many cases of helmets in the TIM.

"I talked to the guard, right. Then he said, basically every time there was an event, someone always lost it. There was someone whose house was in Bogor, his helmet was lost. There was an employee. After that, it was funny, there were members of the police who were involved," said one of the TikTok accounts, quoted on Tuesday, January 10.

The victim of the helmet was met with the management, an employee of Jakarta Utilities Propertindo (JUP) Parking, a subsidiary of PT Jakpro which is now managing TIM after being revitalized. Jakpro admitted that they manage all areas except the area of the Great Theater building, where the parking basement is under the building.

"They explained that in the TIM there are two managers, there is Jakpro one complex and its buildings, except for the large Jakarta theater which is managed by the Culture Service or KPP," he said.," he explained.

However, the parking control area (KPP) of the Culture Service, which was then present at the conversation, emphasized that parking affairs in the TEAM included Jakpro's duties.

"They came to make a statement that the agreement between Jakpro and KPP does not cover parking, basically there is nothing to do. Jakpro holds pure parking through the Parking JuP," he concluded.
