BANTUL - The Bantul Regency Government, Yogyakarta Special Region, sent a letter to the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) regarding the vacancy of the two positions of the head of service within this local government since the end of December 2022. "That will follow, and we are sending a letter to KASN to inform that there is a high post for vacant pretama, namely the Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Head of the Civil Service Police Unit) and the Head of the Health Service," said Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih in Bantul, quoted from Antara, Monday, January 9. The position of the Head of the Bantul Satpol PP was vacant because the old official Yulius Suharto was appointed as Expert Staff to the Regent for Human Resources and Corrections on December 20, 2022. Meanwhile, the position of Head of the Health Service was left by the old official Agus Budi Rahardjo who was inaugurated as Regional Secretary on January 6, 2023. According to the Regent, while waiting for directions and follow-up from the central government through KASN, the two positions of high-ranking Pratama leaders were each filled with acting (plt) from officials within the Bantul Regency Government. "So later we will wait for a letter from KASN, after being given permission, we will open the selection of open bidding or selection and promotion of public positions openly," said the Regent. The Regent said the rotation of leadership in the bureaucratic environment was carried out to accelerate development by rejuvenating leadership structures in order to improve the achievements and performance of regional apparatus organizations. The current high leadership of Pratama, he continued, has the challenge of providing public services that meet the indicators of community satisfaction. Therefore, the Bantul Regent requested that all regional apparatus organizations (OPD) in Bantul also accelerate digitalization in running the government, which is currently achieving the best SPBE assessment at the national level. The digitalization efforts carried out, he said, were to support the efforts of the Bantul Regency Government to realize Bantul as a "smart city".
