REJANG LEBONG - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, said that 1,762 local residents participated in the selection of candidates for members of the 2024 Election Voting Committee (PPS). "The number of participants who took the written test for PPS candidates in Rejang Lebong Regency today is 1,762 people. Of this number, 468 people will be taken as PPS," said the Coordinator of the Socialization and Community Participation Division, Ujang Maman when contacted in Rejang Lebong, quoted from Antara, Sunday, January 8. The written implementation of prospective PPS members is carried out using a computer assisted test system or CAT by utilizing computer facilities belonging to 16 schools in the area. The participants in the selection of PPS candidates will compete for 468 PPS positions which will serve in 156 villages/kelurahan spread over 15 sub-districts in Rejang Lebong or three people in each village/kelurahan. The implementation of a written test for PPS candidates in the area, he said, was carried out in four sessions, the first session was held from 08.30-10.00 WIB. Then the second session from 10.30 WIB-12.00 WIB, the third session from 13.00 WIB-14.30 WIB and the fourth session from 15.00 WIB to 16.30 WIB. According to him, from the number of participants who took this written test, six people or two times the needs of each village and sub-district will be taken. They will then take an interview test before three people are appointed as elected PPS.
