Coffee tourism has the potential to be developed in Indonesia. Moreover, many regions in the archipelago are the leading coffee-producing regions.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, coffee tourism can offer a new experience for tourists.

With coffee tourism, tourists are not only invited to enjoy coffee typical of the country. Tourists will also be guided to know more about coffee, starting from coming to coffee gardens, knowing coffee types, how to process it until it is served while interacting directly with coffee farmers.

Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno is optimistic that the initiation in presenting this tour package will attract tourists because it offers a quality and sustainable tourism experience.

"With coffee tour packages, tourists, especially young people, become more familiar with Indonesian coffee," said Sandiaga Uno.

In this coffee tour, tourism business actors will work directly with local farmers so that it is hoped that it will have a positive impact on farmers, especially in increasing productivity.

"I hope ASITA can help encourage restaurants as well as cafes, and hotels can empower local farmers," said Sandiaga Uno.

Later this coffee tour package will be developed to various regions that produce coffee in the country, especially in five super priority tourism destinations other than in Kintamani.

Previously, Sandiaga Uno had also revealed his plan to create a comprehensive national coffee route which was planned to be called the Indonesia Coffee Trail as one of the national tourism trademarks.
